Gay Pride Maspalomas, 1-15 May

Maspalomas, Grand Canaria Enjoying year-round warm weather, Maspalomas, the party-capital of the Canary Islands therefore, can afford to stage its pride festival early in the year. But will new rules and regulations concerning Gran Canaria’s gay scene have an impact on the festival?

Belgian Pride, 1-17 May

Brussels, Belgium Belgian Pride technically kicks off on  the 29 April with MiniPride. It climaxes with [email protected] on 14 May, leaving Place de la Bourse at 2pm. While, yesterday we reported on the event’s heightened security in the shadow of the terror attacks on the city earlier this year. Meanwhile organizers have confirmed there will be only a couple of entrances and exits to the Pride zone.

Chicago Bear Pride, 27-30 May

Chicago, Illinois Hairy guys from across the Midwest and beyond will convene on the Windy City. This is installment 22 of Bear Pride or BP22. There are many highlights on this year’s schedule. They include the Bear Brunch, the Boxer and Pajama Party the Nuts to Butts Dance Party.

DC Black Pride, 27-30 May

Washington, D.C. Taking place over Memorial Day Weekend.  2016 marks a milestone birthday for DCBP. It  is celebrating 25 years. Pride attendees can look forward to a film festival, writers forums. Along with, male parties and female parties.

Birmingham Pride, 28-29 May

Birmingham, England One of the UK’s earliest pride festivals. this year’s Pride once again takes place over the Spring bank holiday weekend. Gay Star News will be there, handing out  2016 Pride bags. They feature a design from TV star Sharon Osbourne, who recently revealed she’s attracted to women.

Disney Gay Days, 31 May-6 June

Orlando, Florida Gay days at Disney theme parks in the US are always hugely popular. So much so, they’ve inspired a European version. A Magical Pride taking is now place at Euro Disney from 13-16 October. Gay days in Orlando commonly attracts 150,000 Disney fans. This year’s partner hotel is the Hyatt Place Orlando/Convention Center.
