World Pride Madrid 2017 Gay Weekend Package June 30 – July 2, 2017

WorldPride Madrid 2017 is the great global LGBTIQ Pride festival to be held in the neighborhood of Chueca and some of the main streets of Madrid. A great festival to celebrate, discuss and show the diversity, whose main event will be the World Pride Parade, which will be the world’s largest. Open air concerts,different performing stages, parties, art, culture, sport… and all of them around gay neightbourhood Chueca in the very centre of the city.

Party on in Spain

The bid from Spain’s capital was approved unanimously by the Interpride worldwide association of LGBT Pride organizers, paving the way for what promises to be a gigantic party from June 23rd to July 2nd, a time of year which guarantees sunshine and warm temperatures in Madrid. More than three million participants are expected in Madrid’s annual Pride parade. Which,  is already one of the biggest and most vibrant in the world.

Europe’s Pride

Madrid Pride is simply the best city pride in Europe. Held on the first weekend in July, the event is one of the largest of its kind with a stunning parade. There are amazing parties and is open to all, showcasing Spain’s diverse, tolerant and welcoming attitude.gay travel destination
Conde Duque – Like Malasaña, this district shares a similar audience. Calle Conde Duque is full of cafés and restaurants. So, between the main squares in the district, Plaza de Guardias de Corps and Plaza de las Comendadoras, you will also find other options to have drinks, cafés or tapas. The Conde Duque Cultural Centre usually hosts shows, concerts and exhibitions.

The capital’s what’s on guide lists no fewer than 249 discotecas. Amazing! – not bad for a city half the size of London. The big-night-out clubs such as Goa, Pacha, Macumba and Fabrik are always there if you should need them. Veteran watchers of la noche tell me the best fun to be had right now is at small and sweaty club nights. Madrid is finally creeping up on Berlin and London as a happening club-cultural hub. Alcohol-fuelled trashiness and eclecticism rule. Charada (Calle de la Bola 13, +34 91 524 9856, ) is the house club of the moment (Zombie on Wednesdays and Pantera on Saturdays, I’m informed, are the best nights).

The New Kid

The Pride festival in Madrid is a relative newcomer compared with some of the other cities. 2015 will be the fourth year the event has been staged. In 2017 Madrid will be hosting WorldPride. The best clubs in the city have joined forces to hold a number of parties during the five days of the festival. Several guest DJs will be bringing their colorful performances to the big event.
Madrid is so well established as a beacon of pride. So that, it comes as no surprise that it has been chosen to host World Pride 2017. It follows in the footsteps of Rome, Jerusalem, London, and Toronto in hosting the globe’s biggest celebration of the LGBT community.

Tapas anyone

Madrid has a very modernized and elaborate transportation network of buses and Metro. The city contrasts with some large European cities in that it is extremely clean. The  city employees in bright yellow vests can almost always be seen cleaning the streets and sidewalks. However, like most large cities, there is a substantial population of vagrants and beggars lining the streets.{}
However, Madrid is known for modernizing the concept of tapas, aka little plates often shared among diners. You can expect to find a wide range when it comes to your culinary adventure in Madrid. From traditional to innovative to creative. Croquettes, aka little stuffed pastries, are also HUGE in Madrid. Still, paella is surprisingly not as ubiquitous in the Spanish capital. Don’t forget: wine is religion, here. So, dine like Royalty.
