Quebec, Canada….Old world charm “Nouvelle France (New France)” without leaving the new world

We all know, that when everyone wants something, all at the same time, the price tends to go up.Thus becoming trendy. Well, it’s the same for travel. Often enough, the trendier the destination, usually the higher the price is. Add to the mix, the season your travelling. Hotels and restaurants can be more costly. All combined, it can make for an expensive trip. Add in the, time of year your traveling and that plays a major factor in pricing.

Paris for example, the city of lights is always in Vogue, Thus usually always leaning towards higher prices, especially when it comes to where to stay, eat and play! Paris is world re-known for being Gay Friendly. So for an alternative Gay friendly destination, why not the Province of Quebec. Also known as “La Belle Province” and it’s particularly beautiful during the Fall.

What can make it more appealing for the Gay Traveler is that the Canadian dollar is at a Low. Thus, making this destination very wallet friendly and very, very Gay friendly.

1) Montréal- Queen Dowager of the St.Lawerence River

Being a native of Montréal, I can truly let you know, that there are fewer cities in the world that are Gay friendlier or that offer more Gay Venues to the Gay traveler. From Male strip clubs, Gay Latin Dance clubs, Piano Bars to Gay social dancing clubs. It’s a buffet of Gay Entertainment.
Montreal speaks French, but no worries, English is spoken everywhere. It once was the Economical & Cultural hub of Canada. It boasted housing the tallest building in the Commonwealth. Not to get into to much History, it has now seceded its past glory to another region in Canada. But,enough of that.

To find that OLD WORLD CHARM in “Vieux Montreal”, you won’t have to go far. One the amazing districts of Montreal is where it along began. (This year Montreal celebrates 375 years of their founding)!Old Montréal is that district. It covers an area of about one square kilometre (or 0.4 square mile). The historical district is located between the Saint Lawrence River and nearby downtown Montréal. It is easily accessible, and once there, the best way to discover its charms is undoubtedly on foot. Cobblestone streets, outdoor patio cafes and beautiful Historical architecture.
